Trident-20 backpack

Back in January of this year, Brian (of Aluminarium) showed me his very cool sling-pack; the VSlinger by Vanquest. Since then I have desperately wanted one but as luck would have Vanquest had just discontinued the VSlinger. Vanquest was in the process of creating ‘version 2’ so I was forced to wait. A phone call to Vanquest showed promise that I may have one by late May, but the date came and passed without ‘version 2’ making it to market. June was no better, and still in early July the VSlinger pack is not available.

However, on July 1st Vanquest released their new Trident-20 backpack. It is the VSlinger’s big brother at 20% larger and an actual backpack (not just a single strap sling). I quickly made the purchase before the Trident was also discontinued, and today it arrived at the front door!I finally have my every-day-carry bag… 6 months later.
