Settling in for a stay

The past few days I have only been settling in here in Crescent City. With the new responsibilities of dog ownership, socializing with Mom, and just all around trying to get re-organized, I have done nothing of real interest. There are a lot of little points of interest nearby that I have marked on my map, but the weather up here has been pretty somber since I arrived. Lots of fog, mist, and rain and very little sunshine as of yet.

The decision was made to stick with “Moose” as a name for the puppy (since he came to me at the Moose Lodge). Moose has been responding well to his training (sit & come) and he has taken to his crate with ease.

Mom and I are discussing the re-flooring of the Compact Jr trailer and how best to accomplish it. Once the floor is in place, then we can rebuild the pantry and kitchen areas. The last thing we will tackle is the single bed with a second removable bed (since we rarely expect two to be sleeping in that little trailer). It could all happen in a single weekend once we finalize our plans, and then we may take a small 2-3 day road trip around the California/Oregon coast to give it a good shake-down.
