Rocky Mtn Ntnl Park, Timber Creek campground

Tim and I took off for our weekly camp trip… this is a new thing: something to get Tim out of the house at least for 1 day each week before he goes back to school in August. So, July 9th we rolled over the Trail Ridge Rd to camp at Timber Creek Campground in RMNP (Mom and I were just there 1 month earlier and it was very nice).

Tim and I didn’t do much more than drive out there, hang out for the remainder of the day, the night, and part of the morning, but it did get him out of the house for that time period. We had a short visit of Elk, including a newborn, and saw a Moose from a distance (at least I did).

Tim BBQd some hotdogs for our dinner. Then after the sun set we watched a movie and with nothing left to do Tim was asleep before 10pm fir the first time this summer. The next morning we woke, ate breakfast, and slowly inched our way back over the continental divide to the house to complete a relaxing and peaceful day camping.
