Problem solved
A man living in a van likely has many problems, most of which I have had to deal with during my 3 years full-timing in Big Blue. Then came along a moment in time that made me realize a conundrum that I hadn’t even known I had until that very moment.
January 11th, 2015 in Quartsite, Arizona; sharing a beer with a fellow van-dweller – Glenn of tosimplify.net – as he worked on his van (which seems to be a constant thing with him, he should buy an American made vehicle). I provided the beers but failed to bring a device to open the bottles… at which time he introduced me to his handy dandy van-mounted bottle opener (seriously, how had I not seen his blog post until this very instant? Go figure).
Before that day I had been using 20th century technology. An old bottle opener likely found at a thrifty store in the late 1990’s. After a quick BevMo purchase while visiting civilization I had the required part and today I put in the effort to install the 21st century problem solving device. Now I am back to having no problems to speak of.
Closer to 19th Century. Those were introduced in the 1920s or earlier. Handy, nonetheless.
