Moochdocking in the Bay Area

For the past two weeks, while the Airstream was in for servicing, we were mooch-docking in Big Blue outside my family’s place in the East Bay, down at sea-level. Certainly not the most scenic of places we have stayed, but with my son flying out for a visit and the whole family getting together for a weekend-meal, this was where we needed to be. One may think that we caught flak while street-parking on the Bay Area, but the neighbors on this block are pretty accustomed to having vans parked outside this residence. A few even came by to small talk about our recent travels.

Not really much more to add here – we came, we stayed, we left. It was great to see my family again, and I really enjoyed spending some time with my son, but it was clear that the more time I spent in the Bay Area the grouchier I got. It is even possible I am allergic to the area as I started getting a rash in the final days there. We left yesterday, picked up the trailer, and hi-tailed it back up to Grass Valley where we have one final week’s stay before finally being about to get moving towards the South-East.
