I took the day off
This morning I finally left that great boondocking site where I spent four days and three nights relaxing and getting work done. I thought I may roll all the way into the Tucson area today but only made it 30 miles before doing some grocery shopping, then pulling into a truck stop where I can pull out the solar panels to keep my freshly stocked fridge cool. That was as far as I made it and now that it is 4pm, I do not see a reason to roll on out of here now.
I hadn’t done much of anything today; lounged around and read half way through my second book in three days, relocated my CB radio in the van… and yep, that’s about it. It’s been a good day off.
Word has it that Tuesday through Wednesday a cold front is coming through. Overnight temps will go all the way down into the high 30’s! OMG! I’m more concerned about cloud cover keeping me from charging up the batteries each day, but all I have to do is crank up the big V8 and it will do it for me. It is an expensive ‘generator’ but effective on those times I have multiple days of cloudy weather.
