Hall Ranch bike

In a second day in a row of physical activities (aka – Conor trying to kill me) we set out on our mountain bikes to re-tackle a trail we did years back when Conor first came to Colorado; Hall Ranch. I struggled, of course, but ended fighting off a few near-vomits to make it up to the top of the Nelson Loop where the old Nelson Homestead lay waiting in a bed of new grass and a fantastic view of the Rocky Mountain foothills. From here, the ride is all downhill (my style of mountain biking) and my smile returned.

One thing about mountain biking… I tend to go out as light as possible, which means I did not bring my Canon DSLR (saves a few pounds) leaving me to take only a single photo with my phone’s 3 megapixel camera. It did OK if you ask me…

He did the same to me on Brunckow Hill. Of course, where there’s a “will”, there’s a way. . . to get rid of dad. ;)

Ha. Yea he has a sneaky way of “forgetting” about those extra 5 miles of trail, or the 2000 foot climb.
