Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site
The Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site is a working cattle ranch dating back back to the 1850’s and still in operation today.
I wasn’t sure I would care much about touring a ranch, but as I did make the rounds a nice feeling crept it’s way onto me. Not only do I enjoy the ambiance of a ranch, I connect with the cowboy way; full of adventure, living on minimal belongings, constantly traveling, sleeping anywhere he may roam. I wish I was a cowboy back in their prime, herding and moving cattle thousands of miles across the West. Surely it would not have been easy work, but I’d just be a tougher man if I were a cowboy. Yeehaw!
