Going rogue, boat voyeurism, and a shower
Instead of staying another night in the forest, we re-joined the asphalt highway and pointed ourselves North. An hour’s drive up the coast is the Rogue Brewery and the Port of Newport Marina and RV Park. Although it was a plain-jane asphalt parking lot with many other rigs parked about, we did get to enjoy the luxuries of city life, complete with cold brews and burgers at the Rogue Restaurant. Afterward, we walked the piers spying sail boats and looking forward to our future plans – although we are in no rush, the van is still a lot of fun for us at this time.
On our way back from drinks that night we ran into Maria (I hope I remembered the name correctly), a blog follower and fellow nomad, who stopped to say hello and introduce herself. We spoke for a few minutes and parted ways. The next morning, trying to grab a quick shower before heading back into the forest, we ran into Maria again who helped us get into the building with the best showers we have had in a very looooong time. It hadn’t been super long since I last shower, but this one felt good. And then we rolled out again, for another adventure in the forest.
