Colorado National Speedway
Good ol’ Saturday Night racin’ at Colorado National Speedway! This was my first visit to CNS even though I have lived only a few miles from the track for the past 5 years. It is visible from the Interstate and each time I passed by I told myself, “this Saturday I will go” only to never go… until last night.
Now, I use to attend the local dirt-track every Saturday night in my 20’s, but since then I have grown out of love with oval-style auto racing… I am much more a road racer myself. Although the racing holds little interest with me, it is always nice to hear the sounds, smell the fumes, and see the people who love auto racing no matter the style.
It happened to be opening night for the 2013 season so most of the cars were in pristine condition with fresh paint and un-dented panels. Great opportunity to take some photos.
The hell man!? Drove right by it last night on my way home. Should have said something, you snake-in-the-grass :)
I thought you were on duty all weekend
heh…it’s all good. I did have duty but only for half the day. How much were the tickets?
