Birthday trip

Tomorrow, Monday the 22nd, is my 42nd birthday and to launch a whole new year I have plotted out a short little 120 mile road trip that will bring me past numerous places I have been looking to visit or re-visit: Brainard Lake, Caribou Ranch Open Space, Mudd Lake, Golden Gate Canyon State Park, and Eldorado Canyon State park are all on the agenda. Each has trails suitable for hiking and biking, and is high enough in elevation to not be overly hot (as it has been for many weeks now). I should be able to get in a good amount of physical activity and photos, but mainly I’m looking to get out of the asphalt jungle of the front-range. I do hope that this mini-trip will keep me out an about for the majority of the week… at least. Hopefully I will have enough Internet coverage to make daily updates… I leave this afternoon :)
