Bar S RV Park in Milan, NM

So, I’ve spent the past few days relaxing in luxury. Although I went nearly the entire month of January without paying for a night of camping, there were these billboards along the Interstate advertising $17 per night at this RV park, so I decided to stop in for a night to recharge the battery, shower, and do laundry.

I was cautious of course. It is more often you find a complete dive for this price then a little gem, but Bar S was good to me. The gentleman running the place was super friendly and helpful. The fact is, he charged me the discounted price as well, which goes a long way to me liking someone, so I ended up staying 3 nights here. Full 120v power, clean shower and bathrooms, and laundry at a reasonable price (free cable too but I have no TV). It sure has been nice to have all these luxuries, but I think it is time for me to move on… we will see how I feel in the morning after another good night’s sleep.

By the way, Bar S RV has a weekly rate of $92 and a monthly rate under $200 (plus electricity). Seriously? That is a heck of a deal if I was looking to spend a month somewhere.

UPDATE – I paid for two more nights to ride out a very cold storm coming in.
