A day of chores
With Conor leaving early Thursday morning, it gave me the day to get some things done from my to-do list that I have been building up. All are small items that will just make my life easier as I get back on the road under my current circumstances.
A simple 12v plug installed in the rear of the van, feeding off the house batteries, allows me to use my air pump and vacuum back there. Prior, the pump’s cord would not reach my rear tires from the dash mounted plug.
Something I have been considering for some time; moving my detachable table to outside the van. There really has never been room for it inside and it has gone unused for the majority of the time I have had it (found at a thrift store for cheap!). I installed the brackets to the outside and presto! Some table space outside the van under the awning. I do like cooking up my morning coffee while outside in the fresh morning air.
Even though I had just created the front bumper mount bike rack a few months ago, I figured that since I was towing this silly trailer BACK out to California, I may as well utilize it. So, the bike rack was moved, once again, to the trailer. This takes the bike out of the elements and gives me a little peace of mind on it’s security when I am parked somewhere.
I nearby camper had left behind his tent, so I grabbed it to scavenge the net to be used on the van, allowing me to keep some windows and doors open without the bugs attacking. I will have to sew in some magnets to make it super-simple to use.
I am still camped out in the Teton National Forest, with a view of the Tetons. I should be departing on Sunday afternoon if my water supply holds up. It’s a close call.
